When the time arrived to update our lake home in Northern Minnesota, a decision had to be made regarding the cabinets. We had contacted area cabinetmakers for their ideas. One didn't impress us, and the other never showed up. It was then that we explored having the cabinets made in the Twin Cities and we contacted Jeff Hoffman Cabinets and Countertops. Although our lake home is nearly 3 hours from St. Paul, Jeff took the time to travel 5-6 times to walk through the home during the design and construction phase and spent several hours on the phone and in meetings with us to make our lake home everything we wanted, and more. He didn't disappoint. Jeff designed and built a kitchen unlike anything we have seen; the cabinets, the placement, and the details are remarkable. The knife drawers are cleverly built in, and the base drawers are unique and useful for larger platters and less-used items. He considered the children in the home, arranging a few kid-friendly cabinets that are out of the way of the cook.
The placement of the rock in our kitchen, the banister, the bar area, the details in our bathroom cabinets, the beauty of our fireplace mantle and above-the-window trim exhibit his art in wider perspective, tying it all in remarkably with the kitchen itself. All of these ideas were Jeff's and each detail has been remarked upon by all who visit our lake home. Jeff puts his heart and soul into his work, and it is this heart and soul that will leave you speechless. We don't hesitate to recommend him and encourage you to include him in the design of your project. We are incredulous each time we walk through the door, and cannot thank him enough.
